Cookies that are required for the performance of the electronic communications transaction, to provide certain functions you want to use (e.g. the shopping cart function) or to optimise the website (e.g. cookies that provide measurable insights into the web audience) (necessary cookies) shall be stored on the basis of Art. 6 Sect. 1 lit. f GDPR, unless a different legal basis is cited. The website operator has a legitimate interest in the storage of cookies necessary for the technically error-free and optimised provision of its services. If consent to the storage of cookies and comparable recognition technologies has been requested, the processing is carried out exclusively on the basis of this consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a DSGVO and § 25 para. 1 TDDDG); the consent can be revoked at any time.

You can adjust your browser settings so that you are informed when cookies are set and only allow cookies in individual cases, exclude the acceptance of cookies for certain cases or in general, and activate the automatic deletion of cookies when closing the browser. In all other cases, the processing is based on our legitimate interest in the effective processing of the requests addressed to us (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f DSGVO) or on your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a DSGVO), provided that this has been requested; the consent can be revoked at any time.

The information you have entered into the contact form shall remain with us until you ask us to eradicate the data, revoke your consent to the archiving of data or if the purpose for which the information is being archived no longer exists (e.g. after we have concluded our response to your inquiry). Google reCAPTCHA

We use ‘Google reCAPTCHA’ (hereinafter ‘reCAPTCHA’) on this website. The provider is Google Ireland Limited (‘Google’), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.

The purpose of reCAPTCHA is to check whether the data entry on this website (e.g. in a contact form) is done by a human or by an automated program. To do this, reCAPTCHA analyses the behaviour of the website visitor based on various characteristics. This analysis starts automatically as soon as the website visitor enters the website. For the analysis, reCAPTCHA evaluates various information (e.g. IP address, time the website visitor spends on the website or mouse movements made by the user). The data collected during the analysis will be forwarded to Google.

The reCAPTCHA analyses take place entirely in the background. Website visitors are not advised that an analysis is taking place.

The data are stored and analysed on the basis of Art. 6 Sect. 1 lit. f GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in protecting its web offerings against abusive automated spying and against SPAM. If a corresponding consent has been requested, the processing is carried out exclusively on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR and § 25 para. 1 TDDDG, insofar as the consent includes the storage of cookies or access to information in the user's terminal device (e.g. device fingerprinting) within the meaning of the TDDDG. We collect, process and use personal customer and contract data for the purpose of establishing, organising and modifying our contractual relationships. We collect, process and use personal data concerning the use of this website (usage data) only to the extent necessary to enable the user to access the service or to bill the user. 9. Our own services

Handling of applicant data

We offer you the opportunity to apply for a job with us (e.g. by email, post or via an online application form). In the following, we will inform you about the scope, purpose and use of your personal data collected during the application process. We assure you that the collection, processing and use of your data is carried out in accordance with applicable data protection law and all other legal provisions and that your data will be treated in strict confidence.

Scope and purpose of data collection

If you send us an application, we process your associated personal data (e.g. contact and communication data, application documents, notes taken during job interviews, etc.) to the extent necessary to decide whether to establish an employment relationship. The legal basis for this is Section 26 of the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG) under German law (initiation of an employment relationship), Article 6(1)(b) GDPR (general contract initiation) and – provided you have given your consent – Article 6(1)(a) GDPR. Consent can be withdrawn at any time. Within our company, your personal data will only be shared with individuals involved in processing your application.

If your application is successful, the data you have submitted will be stored in our data processing systems on the basis of Section 26 of the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG) and Art. 6 (1) point b GDPR for the purpose of implementing the employment relationship.

Data retention period

If we are unable to offer you a job, if you reject a job offer or withdraw your application, we reserve the right to store the data you have provided on the basis of our legitimate interests (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR) for up to 6 months from the end of the application process (rejection or withdrawal of the application). After that, the data will be deleted and the physical application documents destroyed. The storage serves in particular as evidence in the event of a legal dispute. If it is evident that the data will be required after the six-month period has expired (e.g. due to an impending or pending legal dispute), the data will only be deleted when the purpose for further storage no longer applies.

Data may also be stored for a longer period if you have given your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR) or if statutory retention requirements prevent deletion.

Inclusion in the applicant pool

If we do not make you a job offer, there may be the possibility of including you in our applicant pool. If you are accepted, all documents and information from your application will be transferred to the applicant pool so that we can contact you if suitable vacancies arise.

Inclusion in the applicant pool is based exclusively on your express consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a DSGVO). Consent is given voluntarily and is not related to the ongoing application process. The data subject can revoke his or her consent at any time. In this case, the data will be irrevocably deleted from the applicant pool, provided there are no legal reasons for retention.

The data from the applicant pool will be irrevocably deleted no later than two years after consent has been granted.

Our social media sites

We maintain publicly accessible profiles on social networks. The individual social networks we use can be found below.

Social networks such as Facebook, X etc. can generally analyse your user behaviour comprehensively if you visit their website or a website with integrated social media content (e.g. like buttons or banner ads). When you visit our social media pages, numerous data protection-related processing operations are triggered. Specifically:

If you are logged into your social media account and visit our social media page, the operator of the social media portal can assign this visit to your user account. However, your personal data may also be collected even if you are not logged in or do not have an account with the respective social media portal. In this case, this data collection is done, for example, by cookies that are stored on your device or by recording your IP address.

The data collected in this way allows the operators of the social media portals to create user profiles in which your preferences and interests are stored. This way, interest-based advertising can be displayed to you both within and outside of the respective social media presence. If you have an account with the respective social network, the interest-based advertising can be displayed on all devices on which you are or were logged in.

Please also note that we are not able to retrace all processing operations on the social media portals. Depending on the provider, further processing operations may therefore be carried out by the operators of the social media portals. For details, please refer to the terms of use and data protection provisions of the respective social media portals.

Legal basis

Our social media sites are designed to ensure that we have as comprehensive a presence on the internet as possible. This is a legitimate interest within the meaning of Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. The analysis processes initiated by the social networks may be based on different legal bases, which are to be specified by the social network operators (e.g. consent within the meaning of Article 6(1)(a) GDPR).

Controller and assertion of rights

If you visit one of our social media sites (e.g. Facebook), we, together with the operator of the social media platform, are responsible for the data processing operations triggered during this visit. You can, in principle, assert your rights (information, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, data portability and complaint) both against us and against the operator of the respective social media portal (e.g. against Facebook).

Please note that, despite our joint responsibility with the social media portal operators, we do not have full influence on the data processing operations of the social media portals. Our options are largely determined by the corporate policy of the respective provider.

Storage period

The data collected directly by us via the social media presence will be deleted from our systems as soon as you request us to delete it, revoke your consent to store it or the purpose for storing the data no longer applies. Stored cookies remain on your device until you delete them. Mandatory statutory provisions – in particular, retention periods – remain unaffected.

We have no influence on the storage duration of your data that is stored by the operators of the social networks for their own purposes. For details, please contact the social network operators directly (e.g. in their data protection declaration, see below).

Your rights

You have the right to receive information about the origin, recipients and purpose of your stored personal data at any time and free of charge. You also have the right to object, to data portability and the right to lodge a complaint with the relevant supervisory authority. Furthermore, you can request the correction, blocking, deletion and, under certain circumstances, the restriction of the processing of your personal data.
